How to Use the Password Generator
Clear guidance for creating secure, customized passwords.

1. Choose the password mode

The generator supports two different styles of password creation:

  • Random – Generates a fully random password using a mix of letters, numbers, symbols, and special characters. This option is ideal for maximum security.
  • Memorable – Creates human-friendly passwords by combining simple English words with optional numbers and symbols. This helps you remember the password more easily.

Click a mode button to instantly switch the generator’s behavior.

2. Adjust the password length

Use the slider to choose how long your password should be. You can pick between 6 and 64 characters.

  • A longer password increases security and resistance against brute-force attacks.
  • Memorable mode may slightly vary the exact length depending on word selection.

3. Choose which characters to include

You can customize the strength of your password by enabling or disabling specific character groups:

  • Include numbers (0–9) – Adds digits for better complexity.
  • Include symbols (!@#$%^&*) – Adds commonly used secure symbols.
  • Include special characters (-_=+[]{}()<>?/~) – Adds extended characters for maximum entropy.

Your selections update the generated password in real time.

4. Exclude specific characters (optional)

If there are characters you do not want in your password—for example look-alike characters like O, 0, l, I—you can enter them in the “Exclude characters” box.

  • In Random mode: these characters are removed from the allowed character set.
  • In Memorable mode: excluded characters are removed from the final output after it is generated.

5. Generate and copy the password

Click “New Password” to create a fresh password using your chosen options. The result appears in the “Generated password” field.

Use the Copy button to instantly copy the password to your clipboard for use in logins, forms, or secure storage.

6. Security tips & best practices

  • Use 16+ characters for high-security environments.
  • Memorable passwords are easier to recall but slightly less random.
  • Avoid reusing passwords across different websites.
  • Store passwords in a secure password manager.
  • This generator runs entirely in your browser — no data is sent to any server.
